Professor Fan Zhiyong, Winner of the BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize (STIP) 2022，Chair Professor in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering as well as the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at HKUST, was featured in a CCTV documentary highlighting his pioneering research in novel optoelectronic devices based on nanostructures and bio-inspired optoelectronics. His research team has developed bionic eyes and insect-inspired optical systems, enhancing visual capabilities for next-generation robotics and drones.
