Board Member

Mr. Yonghai Du

  • General Manager,  Green Living and Innovation Division Hong Kong Productivity Council
  • General Manager, Automotive Platforms and Application Systems R&D Centre

Mr. Yonghai DU is General Manager of Green Living & Innovation Division of Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC). In addition, he is also the General Manager for Hong Kong Automotive Platform and Application Systems (APAS) R&D Centre. Dedicated in Environmental protection and sustainability for more than 20 years, he has extensive knowledge and senior leadership experience in technology development, project management and business operations by providing world-class solutions to a broad range of energy and industry sectors including fossil power, biomass, waste-to-energy, semi-conductor, Chemical, automobile, food, textile and electrical manufacturing etc..

Prior to joining HKPC, Mr. Du worked for a large multi-national company as Managing Director for Asia Pacific Region to manage and operate the global fleet and business portfolio of Environmental Control solutions to power plants and industrial factories by Turn-key and consultancy services across the world including Asia and Pacific countries, India, Middle East and Europe. By satisfying the most stringent regulations and diversified contract requirements from global customers, he has successfully led team to localize and develop cutting-edge technologies into wide variety of commercial purposes with outstanding financial performance in compliance with project executions.

Mr. Du holds master's degree in Environmental Protection Engineering. He is among the first approved Registered Environmental Protection Engineers of China starting from 2007. He is Certified Senior Project Manager and ever acted as National evaluation committee member of China Engineering and Consulting Association (CECA) for EPC Project Manager certification in China.

Mr Du has been appointed by a wide spectrum of professional organisations in innovation and technology, sustainability, environment, traditional Chinese medicine, occupational health and safety, etc. which include but not limit to Board Member of Hong Kong Alliance of Technology and Innovations (HKATI). He is committee member of Environmental Industries Council for Federation of Hong Kong Industries(FHKI), committee member of Environment and Sustainability Committee of Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce(HKGCC). He is also Advisory Committee member for School of Energy and Environment(SEE), City University of Hong Kong.
